Tesla has surpassed Volkswagen, BMW, and Porsche to claim third place in ranking the world's most valuable vehicle brands for the first time. However, according to the "Brand Finance Automotive Industry 2022" study, which yearly recognizes the world's most valuable automotive brands, Mercedes-value Benz's remains consistent. After Toyota, Mercedes-Benz is the world's second most valuable automobile brand, with a brand value of 60.8 billion US dollars.

Even though Porsche (sixth position) drops one spot in the overall brand value rating, Porsche remains the world's most valuable luxury and premium brand. There is also a significant hit in German automobile rental: with a brand value growth of over 115%, Sixt is the fastest growing brand in this sector. The study and other information are accessible at Brand Finance Automotive Industry 2022.

Tesla's growth continues, knocking Volkswagen, BMW, and Porsche down a spot apiece. Volkswagen is ranked fourth in the "Brand Finance Automotive Industry 2022" survey, followed by BMW and Porsche. "As a pioneering e-mobility luxury brand, the Tesla brand benefits from a high degree of attention and its own, authentic DNA. The future will reveal if this brand equity is sufficient to maintain the top positions "Ulf-Brün Drechsel, Country and Client Service Director DACH at Brand Finance Germany, a Hamburg-based company. "The leading German automakers are rapidly catching up in the realm of innovative e-mobility. Additionally, they have the strategic benefit of establishing their brand strengths over decades and maintaining them at a very high level. Tesla, a fresh challenger brand, will find it impossible to catch up so rapidly."

Sixt, the multinational mobility organization, is quickly boosting the value of its brand and therefore reviving the automobile rental industry. Sixt is the world's fastest-growing automobile rental brand, having grown by more than 115 percent in the last year and more than doubling its brand value since 2017.
