Volkswagen has started selling the new Polo GTI model in Germany, and the starting price is 22,275 euros.
The Volkswagen Polo GTI received a new 1.8-litre TSI engine that produces 192 hp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. Thanks to the increased power, the VW Polo GTI accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 236 km / h.
Although it has 12 hp and 70 Nm more than the 1.4-litre TSI engine of the previous version, the 1.8-litre engine is more economical, and the average consumption declared being 5.6 litres / 100 km and CO2 emissions rising at 129 g / km (figures corresponding to the version with DSG transmission). On the other hand, the six-speed manual version consumes an average of 6 litres / 100 km and emits 139 g of CO2 per kilometre.
Compared to the standard VW Polo model, the GTI version has more aggressive spoilers, unique 17-inch wheels, sports suspension, fog lights and a red bar on the radiator grille. Inside, the Volkswagen Polo GTI is equipped with a sports steering wheel and sports seats similar to those on the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
