The Fiat 500 has been one of the most popular cars in Spain this year. Fiat's 100% electric alternative was Spain's second best-selling "zero-emissions" car in 2022, with 1,867 units registered. This was a 96% increase from the number of units registered in 2021.

Considering its electric, hybrid, gasoline, and diesel versions, the Fiat 500 has been registered 15,999 times in 2022. This makes it the sixth best-selling model in Spain, which is four spots higher than where it was last year.

When you add up the registrations of the Fiat 500 and the Fiat Panda, you get 20,571 units, which is 60.3% of the market in Spain. This makes the Italian company the top brand in segment A.

Fiat has done an excellent job of putting its electric vehicle strategy together in 2022. The Fiat brand is now in fourth place on the market for electric passenger cars. Its sales have doubled to 2,249 units, 116% more than last year. In less than a year, Fiat has gone from being the seventh brand of commercial vehicles with a market share of 4.5% in the first quarter to staying on the podium with a market share of 6.4%.

Fiat Professional ended the year with 8,636 registrations in the commercial vehicle market, putting it in sixth place and giving it a 7.2% share of the Spanish market. The electric versions of the Fiat Doblo, Fiat Scudo, and Fiat Ducato stand out, reaching the top of the list for vans with "zero emissions."

2023 will be a year of growth and new things for Fiat, with electric cars taking the lead. In the spring, the Abarth 500 BEV will show that performance and a sporty attitude do not have to be at odds with electric technology. Fiat plans to release new models in a wide range of categories for the fall-winter season, but all of them will be electric. The brand will also expand its sales network in Spain, going from 102 dealers to 112 points of sale.
