This area is home to the 4421-meter-high Saptrishi Kund Trek, one of the toughest hikes in the Himalayas. This 0.5 kilometre long, dark bluish glacial lake is the source of the Yamuna River. The Kund, which is surrounded by stony glaciers, is nourished by the Champasar Glacier. The glaciers, Brahma Kamal, and the naturally occurring slate stones found on its banks are the most prominent features of its surroundings. Travel through lush forests, meadows, and steep slopes for breath-taking vistas of the majestic Bandarpoonch mountain, other snow-capped summits, and the untouched long-spread alpine meadows.
