The new Audi Q4 e-tron left very few secrets undisclosed, being presented in the form of a concept car in 2019, then in the electric version, last year. At the moment, the Q4 e-tron joins the long list of models developed by the Volkswagen group on the MEB platform, specially built for electric vehicles, but being the first model of the brand to use this platform.

One outcome is that the model will be assembled in the same plant in Zwickau where ID.3 and ID.4 are manufactured.

The dimensions of the Audi Q4 e-tron are close to those of the VW ID.4, but its equipment and performance make this model a more luxurious version of the VW SUV. The length of 4.59 meters is defining to understand the proportions of Audi's electric SUV, just 1 centimetre below ID.4, but much shorter than the Skoda Enyaq, which reaches 4.65 meters. It is considered a competitor to the Tesla Model Y but is much shorter than this. Compared to classic SUVs with combustion engines, the Q4 e-tron has a larger wheelbase, so it offers better interior space. The luggage space is also generous, 520 litres and 1490 litres in the case of the folded seats.

At the heart of the new car is the electric propulsion system, which is based on an 82 kWh battery, which drives two electric motors, and offers a total power of 295 hp and a range of 520 km (WLTP).

The design of the new Audi Q4 e-tron SUV impresses, its lines being very close to those of the concept of the same name. The coupe profile (for the Sportback version) and the prominent wing arches, along with the huge grille and LED headlights with an original design make the Q4 e-tron a modern, alluring car that will surely bring a lot of new customers.

The announced prices for the new Audi Q4 e-tron are very important, as they are close to the level at which Audi customers are used to buying cars with petrol or diesel engines. For the German market, the first to have the announced prices, the cheapest Audi Q4 e-tron SUV will be 41,900 euros, and the Sportback version will cost 43,900 euros. Prices are below those of the Tesla Model Y.
