The most recent version of EyeSight comes standard on the Subaru Outback and the Subaru Solterra. This new version has a far more expansive viewing angle than its predecessor and is intended to enhance the vehicle's capacity to prevent collisions. In Japan, pedestrian protection airbags are considered a standard feature in all automobiles sold there. In a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian, this airbag is intended to take up part of the force that would otherwise be sent to the pedestrian.

The Subaru Corporation produces Subaru automobiles in the country of Japan. The first Subaru model to be manufactured in series was the 360, and it was introduced in the year 1958. In Lafayette, Indiana, and Gunma, Japan, Subaru maintains manufacturing facilities.
